PragerU Kids releases new 'Otto's Tales' book and show for Flag Day

May 26, 2022

LOS ANGELES — "Otto's Tales: Today is Flag Day," PragerU’s latest installment in the Amazon Best Selling series “Otto’s Tales,” arrives just in time for Flag Day. Celebrated annually on June 14, Flag Day commemorates the date in 1777 when the Second Continental Congress adopted a design for the United States’ first national flag.

“Otto’s Tales: Today is Flag Day” introduces young learners to the core values and fascinating history of our United States flag. Readers will time-travel with Otto the bulldog and his best friend, Dennis, to ask Betsy Ross about the colors of the flag, learn how Flag Day became a national holiday, and discover who planted an American flag on the moon!

The story has also been released as a storytime video on PragerU Kids.

“As a mom, I wish more children were taught how unique and truly inclusive our American flag really is—the history of how it started, the journey it's endured over 245 years, how it is a constant reminder for Americans to, no matter what, stay courageous, strong, truthful and united,” said Jill Simonian, director of outreach for PragerU Kids. “Honoring our flag is a gift that each child in the United States should be able to learn about and celebrate.”

The book is the eleventh installment of “Otto’s Tales.” In less than one year, PragerU Kids has released over 100 pieces of children's edu-tainment content. PragerU Kids has evolved into a multimedia education initiative for K-12th grade students featuring original books, videos and digital magazines with over 15 million views and 300,000 subscribers.
