In response to a Maryland school board’s decision to revoke parents’ rights to opt their children out of mandatory LGBTQ-related lessons, a group of Muslim and Christian parents joined together in protest. Despite the media’s portrayal of parents who simply want to protect their kids, this story reminds us that people of all religions—not just “far-right” Christians—have the right to raise and educate their children with the religious beliefs they hold dear.
