Do Politicians Only Care about Their Next Elections?

He argues that genuine service requires a complete willingness to lose everything, and that most politicians are unwilling to pay that price. That is why so little ever changes and why the politicians who actually move the needle are the ones who genuinely do not care if they lose it all.
