Are Americans Willing to Sacrifice for Morality?

Why were so many young Americans willing to fight evil around the world? Most of the men who stormed Normandy knew they might never come home. They went because they believed that defending freedom and doing what was right were worth the sacrifice. Do Americans still believe in bravery, sacrifice, morality?
