Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Keith Kellogg is a career soldier who rose to become one of the country's most influential voices on national security. He recently served as President Donald Trump’s Special Presidential Envoy for Ukraine, leading the administration's effort to end the Russia-Ukraine war. Kellogg also served as chief of staff of the National Security Council, as acting National Security Advisor in 2017, and as national security advisor to Vice President Mike Pence. Kellogg studied political science at Santa Clara University, where he was commissioned through ROTC, and later earned a master's degree in international affairs from the University of Kansas. He served two tours in Vietnam as a paratrooper, earning the Silver Star, and went on to command the 82nd Airborne Division and Special Operations Command Europe. He and his wife Paige, herself a former Army paratrooper, settled in Virginia after 23 military moves. They have three children, including Dr. Meaghan Mobbs, and four grandchildren.
