Sam Sorbo (born Sandra Lynn Jenkins on October 18, 1964) is an American actress, award-winning author, and nationally syndicated radio host. She gained recognition for her roles in television series such as Hercules: The Legendary Journeys (as Serena) and Chicago Hope (as Dr. Caroline Eggert). Fluent in multiple languages, she initially pursued biomedical engineering at Duke University before transitioning into modeling and acting.
As an author and homeschooling advocate, she wrote They’re YOUR Kids, chronicling her family's homeschooling journey, and Words for Warriors, addressing the influence of language in modern culture. Sam co-wrote, produced, and starred alongside her husband Kevin Sorbo in the faith-based film Let There Be Light, which became one of the highest-grossing independent faith films of 2017.
Today, she hosts The Sam Sorbo Show, a nationally syndicated radio program focused on culture, education, and faith, and remains an outspoken advocate for parental autonomy in education and Christian family values.
