Phillip S. Greenwalt is an American historian, author, and National Park Service educator specializing in the American Revolution and Civil War. He is the co-founder of Emerging Revolutionary War and a contributor to Emerging Civil War, and has authored or co-authored numerous books on American military history. Greenwalt holds a master’s degree in American history from George Mason University and a bachelor’s degree in history from Wheeling Jesuit University. He has spent more than 19 years with the National Park Service and currently serves as Chief of Interpretation and Education at Catoctin Mountain Park in Maryland.
