The Enemy of Communism Is Common Sense

Dennis Prager says communism does not fail by accident. It fails because it eliminates the one thing that drives human progress: incentive. When politicians win elections by promising to redistribute wealth, they are not building equality, they are building equal misery. America's standard of living rose because innovators and leaders were free to risk and create. No communist country has ever replicated that. The answer to communism has always been common sense, and that is exactly why its proponents work so hard to undermine it.
