Richard Lim

Richard Lim is co-founder and host of This American President and Resident Historian at Prager University. Through his podcast, he has interviewed several prominent figures, such as Apollo 13 astronaut Fred Haise, former CIA and NSA Director Michael V. Hayden, former Secret Service Agent Clint Hill, Fox News host Bret Baier, and commentator Bill O'Reilly. 

He is also the author of the book Refusing a Crown: How George Washington Changed the World.

Richard has served at the White House, the Association of the U.S. Army, and George Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate. He has appeared on C-SPAN’s Washington Journal, the History Channel’s 2023 FDR documentary, and Competitive Enterprise Institute’s 2025 Dear Mr. President: The Letters of Julia Sand. In addition, he is a regular commentator on the Point of View Radio Show’s Next Generation Roundtable.

His op-eds have appeared in The Daily Signal, Washington Examiner, RealClearHistory, and the History News Network. He holds a master’s in public administration from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School and a bachelor’s in history and political science from UC San Diego.
