Gloria Álvarez

Gloria Álvarez is a political scientist, radio broadcaster, and project director at the National Civic Movement of Guatemala (MCN), an NGO that advocates for the participation of an informed, responsible, and active citizenry in national politics. She also is the host of a series of educational videos on the YouTube channel of Fundación Libertad y Progreso (Freedom and Progress Foundation). In 2016, Álvarez published El Engaño Populista (The Populist Deception), a book that examines the consequences of populism in Latin America.
