Haroon K. Ullah is a scholar and former U.S. diplomat specializing in South Asia and the Middle East. He previously served on Secretary of State John Kerry’s Policy Planning Staff at the U.S. State Department, focusing on public diplomacy and countering violent extremism. Ullah holds a Ph.D. in Political Science and Public Policy from the University of Michigan and a Master of Public Administration in International Development from Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government. He is the author of several books, including Vying for Allah’s Vote and Digital World War, and is recognized for his expertise on international security, cyber policy, and geopolitical affairs.
