Bishop W.C. Martin

Bishop W.C. Martin is the long-serving pastor of Bennett Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Possum Trot, Texas. For over two decades, he and his wife Donna have inspired their rural faith community to adopt dozens of foster children—many of whom were the most difficult to place—resulting in dozens of families welcoming children into loving homes. Their powerful story, captured in the film Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot, has motivated churches nationwide to consider public adoption and foster care as vital acts of faith.
