Lalit K. Jha

Lalit K. Jha is an Indian journalist and Editor for North America at Indo-Asian News Service, based in Washington, D.C., where he has covered American politics for more than 15 years. He was Chief U.S. Correspondent for the Press Trust of India from 2009 to 2025. He also founded New India Abroad, an Indian American news outlet, and the virtual newsroom 5WH.com. Earlier in his career, Jha reported for The Hindu, Hindustan Times, The Indian Express, and NDTV. He is a graduate of the University of Delhi.
