
Kathryn Burgum
Kathryn Burgum is an American recovery advocate and former First Lady of North Dakota. She has been open about her own 24-year journey in recovery and has made addiction prevention, treatment, and recovery a central focus of her public work. As First Lady, she founded Recovery Reinvented, a statewide initiative focused on reducing the stigma surrounding addiction and expanding access to recovery resources. She now serves as a White House Senior Adviser for Addiction Recovery and co-chairs the Great American Recovery Initiative, working to strengthen addiction treatment and recovery efforts nationwide.
