Jonathan Kanevsky

Dr. Jonathan Kanevsky is a plastic surgeon. He earned both his undergraduate and medical degrees at McGill University in Montreal, graduating at the top of his class, then was accepted into McGill's competitive integrated plastic surgery residency. He is certified in plastic and reconstructive surgery by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. As a resident, he developed a device to minimize scarring, work that earned him the Plastic Surgery Foundation Innovation Award. His more than 30 research papers have been cited over 1,300 times, and he speaks regularly at international conferences. Much of his research focuses on artificial intelligence in medicine—a field he helped bring into his own specialty. Dr. Kanevsky honed his cosmetic technique in an advanced aesthetic surgery fellowship at the University of Southern California, learning from Drs. Grant Stevens, Jay Calvert, Luis Macias, Andrew Ordon, and Ritu Chopra. Today he practices in Beverly Hills and serves as a reconstructive surgeon at Neuralink. Outside the operating room, he has volunteered on medical missions in Guatemala and raises money for craniofacial surgery at Montreal Children's Hospital. He speaks four languages and plays guitar, and he travels every chance he gets with his wife, Kate.
