Events Manager (Los Angeles or Remote)

The Events Manager (Los Angeles or Remote) will provide strategic support to the Director of Events and Development team in the planning and execution of all cultivation, stewardship, recognition and fundraising events and experiences.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Research potential new event venues and vendors
Liaise with venues and vendors
Manage event deadlines, timelines, and deliverables
Make sure all details of events are properly planned and executed
Manage event staff, and the overall flow of events from setup to tear down
Provide post-event analysis, budget recaps, and apply learnings to enhance future plans
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of event planning experience
Strong communicator, decision-maker and strategic-thinker
Organized with attention to follow up, detail, deadlines and record keeping
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Working knowledge of Airtable, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Indesign a plus
Strong organizational and time management skills
Experience and/or ability to work with high-level donors
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and be able to manage several projects concurrently
Must be willing and able to work irregular hours, and weekends when needed
Travel to events on a monthly basis as required
