Accounting Coordinator (Hollywood, FL)

This role is an important part of the Finance/ Administration team, and will assist the Director of Accounting in day-to-day AR and AP duties. The job entails heavy data entry, e-filing, scanning, and providing adequate support to meet best practices for annual audits. Excellent computer skills, accuracy, confidentiality, and trust/integrity are required for the role along with reliability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Generate bi-weekly cash logs of checks/payments received
Ensuring all atypical payments (wires, stock donations) are recorded in our CRM platform (BlackBaud) every month
Separating out monthly credit card expenses & collecting receipts & GL coding by credit card
Creating weekly tax letters for donors
Verifying company match donations submitted by donors through a variety of platforms
Administrative tasks as assigned by the Director of Accounting or CFO
Requirements:
Excellent skills in data entry accuracy and proficiency in Excel
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; demonstrated expertise in Excel and Word
Prior accounting experience/skills helpful
Exceptional organizational and time management skills and a can-do, self-starter attitude
Strong oral and written communication skills with professionalism
