Zachary Levi is an American actor and singer best known for his starring role as Chuck Bartowski in the NBC series Chuck and as the title character in the DC superhero films Shazam! (2019) and Shazam! Fury of the Gods (2023). Born on September 29, 1980, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Levi began acting in school and local theater productions before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a professional career.
He gained early recognition for roles in the TV series Less Than Perfect and Chuck, where his mix of comedic timing and action-hero charm made him a fan favorite. Levi has also voiced the character Flynn Rider in Disney’s animated film Tangled (2010) and its subsequent projects, showcasing his singing abilities on songs like “I See the Light.”
Outside of acting, Levi is active in charitable work, participating in events like Nerd HQ at San Diego Comic-Con to raise funds for Operation Smile.
