From Hard Left to Conservative Activist: ‘Unapologetic with Amala’ addresses today’s news and pop culture
LOS ANGELES — PragerU’s newest show, "Unapologetic with Amala," features viral media sensation Amala Ekpunobi as she explores current events and ideas that are transforming today’s culture. The show features monthly deep dive episodes where she tackles some of the biggest political and moral dilemmas plaguing today’s society. Additionally, daily LIVE episodes break down current news topics in hopes of getting young people to think critically, discover the truth, defend their values, and lead better lives.
The opening deep dive episode, "How I Stopped Hating the Police: An Unapologetic Special" explains how Amala grew up believing that policing in America was systemically racist. After advocating to defund the police and marching with the Black Lives Matter movement, a very personal encounter with the police led Amala to research the topic more objectively. She was confronted with the truth — the facts show policing is not systemically racist. This was one of the monumental moments that led her to change her worldview, which she addresses in the first live episode, "From Woke Leftist to Free Thinker: How I Got Redpilled."
“What we want to do on this channel is have open, compassionate, good-faith conversations about the issues that everyone is talking about. What we need right now is dialogue, and I want to encourage that with this show,” said Amala. “This is not just a show for people who are conservative; it’s a show for anyone and everyone who is willing to listen to an opinion that they may or may not agree with.”
