Ronald Gertz is an internationally recognized authority in intellectual property law and regulation. He has been at the forefront of solutions to issues presented by the development of digital content and transmission technologies, and specializes in private transactions and government regulation. Ronald is the founder of Music Reports, Inc., the entertainment industry’s leading technology platform for worldwide administration of intellectual property rights and royalties. He served as its President and CEO and later as its Chairman. He directed Music Reports ́ strategies in regulatory and legislative initiatives, providing expert testimony, and participating in significant proceedings in the federal courts under Consent Decrees with the U.S. Department of Justice. Ronald is a former chair of the Intellectual Property Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and past President of the California Copyright Conference. He has been a director of the Broadcast Cable Financial Managers Association, the National Academy of Songwriters, and a member of the Interactive Multimedia Association’s Intellectual Property Task Force. Ronald is also an accomplished guitarist and vocalist, having performed professionally in many rock tours, and numerous classical music recitals. He is an expert in the songs of Schubert, Schumann, Wolf, Brahms, Warlock, and more.
